Not Afraid As I sit at my window and look out at the sky I think about my comrades who are not afraid to die! They are over in distant countrys fighting for freedom, liberty, as well as a flag older then New York City and they are not afraid to die! They are trained to defend and kill to serve and protect the constitution in the water or on a hill and they are not afraid to die! They are aunts, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, uncles, and dads this country has given the finest it had because they were not afraid to die! I have family, I have friends yet I leave home so i may defend the things that many have already paid their price and I am not afraid to die Jonathan Lee Baker I am an American Soldier. I am a Warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States and live the army values. I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade. I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior task and drills. I always maintain my arms, my equipment, and myself. I am an expert and I am a professional. I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America in close combat. I am a guardian of freedom and the american way of life. I AM AN AMERICAN SOLDIER!

Some pics for all the bloggers

hello all,

Below are a few pics from here in afghanistan.

First off is my little friend chaos being held by another friend Sgt. Lanier.

Second we have a shot at dawn off the snowcaped mountains with a storm rolling in!

And third we have a mid day shot off the same mountains, the storm has already past!

Hey son... I so miss you and wish you home safe... These past couple of weeks have been the hardest on me... Not hearing your voice as often as I would like but do understand the job you are doing... At least when you do call I know you are safe... But between the calls I have to trust in our Lord that he is keeping you safe... Wow, All my babies are growing up... Your sisters all celebrated birthday this summer and next month Josh turning 17 and you.. Oh my.. My first born.. Turning 21.. Yeah your old mom is getting old..
