well its been a while since i have gotten around to updating this journal for jon. not too much has happened (that i know of) he has gotten sick a couple times and gotten over that and he hurt his back a few weeks ago but to my knowledge he is doing fine now. he is so excited now, as am i, because he will be coming home in 2 months. he is due home sometime in february. hopefully it will be mid feb. that way it will be less then 2 months. im so excited and i cant wait till he is home just cuz ill know then that he is safe. when he gets to the US im going to pick him up in indiana when he gets his pass to leave and we will spend some time up there before he is cleared to come home. im so excited and i cant wait. i also wanna say thanks to everyone that has read his page and showed support. it means tons to both of us. well take care all and ill update sometime between now and when he comes home.. I LOVE JON!!!

well i have gotten to talk to jon 3 times now this week. the last time that i talked to him was yesterday (friday) morning at like 3:30. we talked for a little over an hour with his phone cutting out only 3 times. thats the longest that i have gotten to talk to him in a very long time so it was nice and we got to talk about a lot of good things.. and just laugh a little bit. he is so funny and sweet. everything he says either makes me laugh or makes me grin like an idiot... i love that man.. i know that he had also gotten to talk to his nana whom he had been needing to talk to for a while. but im not sure if he got to talk to his mom or not. if not i know that she is next on his list... he is ok...he sounded pretty good in spirits and not too badly homesick.. i guess it just comes and goes with the bad days..which i can totally understand..i too have bad days where i am just like why cant he come home TODAY!?!?! its very frustrating but i know that we can suck it up and make it the next 3 months... we have already made it 3 months since we have been together, so it is almost halfway for us.. the 5th will be our 3 month anniversary.. lol...when he comes home in february it will be a little over 6 months..well im gonna go take a shower and cook me some supper now and wait and see if he calls me tonight and then hang out with some friends from work once they get off at midnight.. lol... ill post again soon...

hi my name is linda. i am jon's girlfriend and he asked me to update his journal for him. he is doing ok and sends everyone his love. he is slightly homesick and is very much looking forward to coming home. he should be home to all of us in february sometime. he doesnt yet know an exact date. he is no longer on convoys and he has a new address. its the same as before just a different zip code. if anyone needs it just let me know and we can get it to you. oh and just so everyone will know there is no need to worry about me being a good girlfriend to jon. im not like his ex'es and i WILL be here waiting on him when he comes home. he is truly an amazing guy and i am very blessed to have him in my life and to be able to call him my boyfriend. my soldier!! i will definitely be along for a long time as long as it stays ok with his mom, steve, nana, and all the kids.. anyways...now that jon has someone to update this for him i will try to keep it up with some better news and updates when i hear them...i guess thats all for now..
